Admission Process | MSN—Direct Entry

Applications and credentials for admission to the Master of Science in Nursing—Direct Entry program must be submitted for processing to the Carroll University Office of Admission.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year and as decisions are made on applications, applicants are notified through the Office of Admission. Each Fall, we start a cohort of 24 students. Early application is encouraged.

Application Opens Each September 1st for the Following Fall Start

STEP 1: Submit the Graduate Studies Application

​STEP 2: Complete and submit the following within the application status portal after submission of your application:

1. Personal Statement - Define your goals and objectives for the pursuit of graduate studies. 
2. Resume or Curriculum Vitae
3. Two Professional References - Suggested authors include work supervisors, professional colleagues, or faculty. A submission link will be sent to your reference once you enter contact information within your application.
4. Technical and Progression Standards Form - Found within the application status portal
5. Official Post-Secondary Transcripts - From all institutions attended
   • Official transcripts must be sent from the institution to gradinfo@tif2005.com or mailed to:

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in any degree other than nursing

• UG -GPA 3.0 or higher 
  • Consideration will be given to students with UG-GPAs less than 3.0 who demonstrate academic achievement of 3.0 or higher with pre-requisite courses. 

• 6-8 credits of human anatomy and physiology with a lab (2 courses of 3 to 4 credits) 
• 3-4 credits of chemistry with a lab (1 course of 3 to 4 credits) 
• 3-4 credits of microbiology with a lab (1 course of 3 to 4 credits) 
• 3-4 credits of lifespan or developmental psychology (1 course of 3-4 credits) 
• 3-4 credit statistics course (1 course of 3-4 credits)
