PTS Scholarship Program extends the practice’s support to the local physical therapy community
PT Solutions (PTS), a clinician-founded and led practice expanding access to quality care across 550 points of service in 25 states, is extending its people-centered approach to supporting the local physical therapy community in Wisconsin with a gift to Carroll University in Waukesha.
Driven by a desire to expand services for students, practitioners and patients, PT Solutions has committed a gift to Carroll University’s physical therapy students and program over the next three years. The gift will establish multiple scholarships and fund various student events and campus engagements to acknowledge and celebrate this partnership.
Through its APTA-accredited residency program, PT Solutions educates, trains and trusts its professionals to provide research-supported care in hospitality-driven and service-oriented environments. While its focus is outpatient physical therapy, PTS offers occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and sports medicine in inpatient and outpatient settings.
“The generous support from PT Solutions is greatly appreciated. This is a great example of a healthcare provider and educational institution coming together to support our future clinicians. These funds go a long way in helping our program deliver the high-quality physical therapy education Carroll is known for while benefitting individual students with significant scholarships,” said Tom Pahnke, dean of Carroll University’s College of Health Sciences.
Carroll’s physical therapy program educates the next generation of PTs prepared to provide compassionate, respectful, quality care in a dynamic and diverse healthcare environment. Students have a unique opportunity for direct admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, which includes pre-professional and professional phases and the ability to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in just six years.
"Investing in the education and development of future physical therapy professionals is not just about giving back; it's about ensuring the highest standards of care for patients tomorrow. We're proud to collaborate with Carroll University, knowing that our support will empower students to make meaningful contributions to the field and positively impact countless lives,” said PT Solutions Physical Therapy CEO Dale Yake, PT, DPT, OCS, ATC.
The opportunity is priceless for students such as Samuel Buchinger, a 2024-year doctor of physical physical therapy student at Carroll University who received PT Solution’s education assistance award.
"As a student finishing up schooling, I was ecstatic to be chosen for the scholarship. I already had a rotation with PT Solutions, and I knew the company would be a good fit. The scholarship meant a step toward starting a new career. I can’t wait to see what PT Solutions and I can do as I grow my clinical practice!"
Jarek Berg, another emerging Carroll University graduate, also agreed. He said, “I am extremely excited to begin working for PT Solutions. As I visited numerous PT Solutions clinics, I felt that this was a company where I could see myself growing as an entry-level clinician. This company has the team atmosphere I was looking for. And the scholarship I was awarded allows me to pay off loans quicker.”
